Why I'm Running

I’m running to represent District 4 on the Riverton City Council because I care deeply about our community—its safety, its future, and the families who call it home. Since moving to Riverton in 2017, I’ve rolled up my sleeves to make a difference: resolving a major flooding issue in our district and serving on Riverton's Economic Development Council to support smart, sustainable growth.

As our city grows, so do its challenges. We need forward-thinking leadership to meet them. One of our most urgent priorities is infrastructure—from reducing traffic congestion to ensuring responsible development. I believe in disciplined, long-term solutions that preserve our quality of life and protect our city’s financial stability.

What Sets Me Apart

I bring a unique blend of government and private-sector experience. I spent 13 years as a bank examiner with the FDIC, advising hundreds of boards and executive management teams on regulatory oversight and fiscal responsibility. Today, I serve as a Vice President and Deputy Chief Risk Officer at a Utah-based bank, where I manage risk and help navigate complex, high-stakes decisions.

This background has equipped me with the judgment, accountability, and strategic vision that I will bring to the Riverton City Council.

Ethical Representation

I’m a strong, independent voice grounded in principle—not politics. I have no outside political entanglements or conflicts of interest—just a clear, transparent commitment to serve you, the residents of Riverton. I believe our city deserves leaders who put the community first, free from divided loyalties.

Fiscal Responsibility

As a fiscal conservative, I believe in balanced budgets, smart investments, and safeguarding taxpayers from unnecessary financial burdens. I will push for efficient use of public funds and responsible financial oversight—while maintaining the essential services our city relies on.

Leadership Style

I’m an analytical thinker who values steadiness—especially when it comes to making decisions that affect real people and real neighborhoods. I strive for measured, practical solutions grounded in data, experience, and community input.

My goal is to be a good public servant and not a politician. I want to make decisions based on research and facts and not by what might help in the next election.

My leadership draws on experience across generations. I’ve been mentored by Baby Boomers, collaborated with Millennials, mentored Gen Z, and am raising Generation Alpha. This generational insight helps me lead with empathy, humility, and a forward-thinking vision that resonates with families and future-minded residents.

About My Family

My wife Robyn and I are raising our three children—Ivy, Molly, and George—right here in Riverton. This is our forever home. We love this community and want to help lead it toward a future of safe neighborhoods, smart growth, and trustworthy leadership.
